lyrics

Chester Greenwood, age 15, trod out to the ice
and glid along its surface with such grace
but as he tried to stave off the feeling on his skin
he only further noticed the cold upon his face

And no attempt to shield it proved to shelter his ears
which shivered in the bitter Northern wind
vibrating in the freezing air they cried out to his brain
"this is the day you change the world"

Where does it come from? How does one see?
precisely what the world needs to thrive
which wire to where? But not in this case,
because these wires surely ain't live

Tufts of fur are all I need for the ears
to make the magic come around
to beat the snow and wind, drive it back
I must muffle every sound

And now it is complete
